Astronomy Binoculars A Great Alternative
Technological innovation is essential for the acceleration of knowledge-led development in Africa, which is central to Innovation House’s mission to enable African potential with a strategic focus on STEMs.
Innovation House is a pan-African Benefit Corporation with a mission to build human capital to foster social transformation, confer economic competitiveness, self-sufficiency, and effectively contribute to the emergence of the African continent through innovative scientific training, technological advances, breakthrough discoveries, strategic alliances, and innovative policy design.
Our goal is to positively and meaningfully impact African lives and communities by building the bridge between smart impact sourcing employment solutions and STEM-centric skill development programs for African youth, by cultivating problem-solving, design, strategic, creative and critical thinking.
To achieve our goal, the Innovation House leadership has strategically chosen to focus and feed into the STEM pipeline by training and/or retraining African youth in various fields and partners with the best community leaders to draft curriculums ranging from high-tech subjects such as Data Engineering, Big Data, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. We aim to serve and include all in our vision to solve social and economic challenges pertaining to health, education, agriculture and poverty in general by vulgarizing digital literacy. Our STEM-focus Benefit Corporation model across the continent and will impact millions of African Lives by 2035
The goal of the program is to pilot a comprehensive big data accelerator program including Data Engineering Certification to train and equip young people with the needed expertise to manage large-scale big data projects within organizations and create in Africa and also remote jobs for EU, and US based companies from Africa.
There is a clear shortage of data engineers in both private and public sectors. To solve this problem, a tailored program will be designed and delivered by experts either on site or online. Candidates will be coached towards gaining the CCA Spark and Hadoop Developer (CCA175) certification.
This project aims to create 30,000-35,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2030. Our goal is to stimulate a culture of entrepreneurship and strengthen a pipeline of talents. The pilot is expected to start in November 2022. We expect a cohort of 30 trainees from around Africa to come to EcoFarm, a 10,000 m2 space located in Fimela, a village which is 150km from Dakar, the capital. It’s the perfect venue for training. They will be immersed in nature in a place we have been promoting eco-agriculture and aquaculture.
